SnoozeShade for Pack n Play Review

SnoozeShade for Pack n Play and Travel Cots
OH MY GOODNESS! I have discovered a huge lifesaver for traveling with a baby or toddler!

Anyone else ever shared a hotel room with their baby/toddler and realized that you have to keep the room pitch black the whole time they're sleeping, so you don't wake them up? Or what about wanting them to nap at a friend or family member's house, but it's a lot brighter in the room because it's super sunny outside? Well, no problems with that anymore!

Enter: The award-winning SnoozeShade for Pack n Play and Travel Cots. This smart product was developed by a mom in Britain who saw the need for something BLACKOUT and BREATHABLE that could be placed over a Pack n Play or Travel Cot so that kiddos can sleep soundly and not be disturbed by lights or sunshine streaming in.

Our 9-month son slept for 12 hours with it and wasn't at all disturbed when we cut all the lights on in the room and opened the blinds! (And this is coming from a kiddo who hated Pack n Plays and wouldn't sleep in them at all previously!) Pure genius invention! We have since used it on every trip we've been on with him.

Let's talk about how it works....
  1. Buy the product from SnoozeShadeUSA.com or Amazon.
(The creator of SnoozeShade, Cara, was kind enough to offer a 10% discount to my subscribers if you use the link: https://snoozeshadeusa.com/discount/ELLEN10)
  2. Open the package, drape it over the top of your Pack n Play/Travel Cot, attach it to the bottom 4 corners via the Velcro straps that are connected to it. Voila! You're ready to Rock n Roll!
NOTE: The amount of light it blacks out is customizable because it's got light filtering windows underneath the blackout fabric on the sides, which you can roll up or roll down.

You also have the option of unzipping the top window as much as you need to place your kiddo inside and view them from above.

Here are some tips we found helpful when using the SnoozeShade:
  • We made sure to have it ready to go before bedtime or nap time, so it was a cinch to place kiddo inside once he was sleepy
  • We put a white noise machine underneath the Pack n Play to keep it extra cosy and disturbance-free
  • We used the Infant Optics DXR-8 with a flexible stand so we could mount the monitor on the side of the Pack N Play on top of the SnoozeShade and still view baby while he's sleeping underneath the SnoozeShade. (We zipped the top part mostly closed and had the baby monitor peaking through where it was open)
I have to say: This is one of my favorite purchases of the year for travel baby products! If you try it out, let me know what you think!
